About Project

This project is a plugin that aims to improve navigating, searching, and posting on Piazza in academic settings. We aim to leverage LLM tools to augment professor and student responses to posts, improve the search functionality by providing RAG-enhanced answers, and provide summaries of existing questions that have already been asked in the form.

Suggested Tech Stack

Extension: HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Backend: Vector database for RAG (Pinecone/FAISS/pgvector), PostgreSQL/MongoDB for main database

LLM (for AI assistant): OpenAI/other API, or look into hosting locally
