Overview

As a Developer at UBC Launch Pad, you'll embark on an exciting journey of collaborative innovation, working alongside fellow developers and designers to bring impactful projects to life over a 4-8 month period. Your team will be guided by one or two experienced tech leads, providing the expertise needed to turn your collective vision into reality.

What You Will Do

• 📅 Attend mandatory weekly team meetings and diligently participate in discussion
• 💻 Design, write, test, and deploy high quality scalable code
• 🏆 Take ownership of your work and work autonomously when necessary
• 🔍 Participate in code reviews, and apply software development best practices
• 🤝 Collaborate and learn alongside other developers and designers
• 📊 Contribute to project planning and sprint goals
• 🐛 Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise

What You Will Need

• 🎓 Be a current UBC Vancouver student in Vancouver for at least one term
• ⏰ Able to put in a minimum of 8 hours a week
• 🤝 Able to attend weekly meetings every Saturday From 11AM - 2PM
• 💻 Basic programming knowledge in at least one language
• 🌐 Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• 📚 Willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks
