Overview

As a Designer at UBC Launch Pad, you'll embark on an exciting journey of creative innovation, working alongside fellow designers and developers to bring impactful projects to life over a 4-8 month period. Your team will be guided by an experienced design lead and tech lead, providing the expertise needed to create beautiful interfaces and exceptional user experiences.

What You Will Do

• 📅 Attend mandatory weekly team meetings and diligently participate in discussion
• 🎨 Create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces
• 🔬 Conduct user research, user testing, wireframing, and prototyping
• 📸 Put together compelling demos and case studies of your work
• 🏆 Take ownership of your work and work autonomously when necessary
• 🤝 Collaborate and learn alongside other designers and developers
• 💬 Maintain open communication with your team
• 📊 Contribute to project planning and design strategy
• 🖌️ Spearhead the design aspects of your team's project

What You Will Need

• 🎓 Be a current UBC Vancouver student in Vancouver for at least one term
• ⏰ Able to put in a minimum of 8 hours a week
• 🤝 Able to attend weekly meetings every Saturday From 11AM - 2PM
